As you’ve probably already noticed, we’re a champion of the small startup with big ambitions. That’s no coincidence. We like growing brands from the infant stage, and that’s exactly what happened with NurturMe. Caroline Freedman and her business partner Lauren McCullough had a small baby food company that wanted to compete with the big brands.
The first baby step was market research with new moms — understanding their needs and creating design and messaging that spoke to them. That was five years ago. And in that time, we’ve closely nurtured this brand (and even coordinated a baby photoshoot or two!), growing the company from four flavors into a full shelf set that hits multiple age groups and is more desirable for big box retailers. This is SHELF Studio’s longest working relationship, which has set the tone for all clients since.
